The Foundation Board provides funding to the College to develop courses that are needed for an educated workforce. The College and the Foundation are proud of its many initiatves in the field of early care and after school.
Partners like CT Charts-A-Course, the Department of Social Services, the CT After School Network, the Hartford Area Collaborative, and the Department of Public Health, have helped us to develop exams, courses and credential programs to better educate students who are working in early care and after schoool programs.
Kim Liddie earmed the newly developed Certificate in Infant-Toddler Care. Alice Williams is Kim’s employer and a current COSC student – earning her Bachelor degree in Child Studies. Alice holds the Initial Level CT Director’s Credential. Alice’s daughter, Alisha Smith, graduated in May 2009 and was the first to earn a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Child & Youth Development.
